I know I haven’t blogged much but that will soon change. When I first started this blog I wanted to post about things that I had questions about.

Now I just want to share things that I am passionate about… books, gadgets, health, and more. I don’t have it all figured out yet but it’s only a matter of time!

Watch this collection of slam dunks that ended terribly wrong. Some will make you laugh and some will make you hurt.

1. This kid launches off the trampoline and makes the dunk but gets his leg caught in the rim.
   
2. This guy tried to jump over a girl and dunk the ball but instead he plows her over and misses the dunk.
   
3. This dude dunks the ball, then shows off a bit, and finally gets stuck in the rim.
   
4. Guy jumps off of trampoline for the dunk but collides with the backboard instead.
   
5. This guy downs a beer, circles a bat, then attempts the dunk but instead he pounds himself into the driveway.
   
6. Guy tries a double front flip dunk and collides with the rim.
   
7. This guy gets his hand caught in the net and falls to the ground.
   
8. Another trampoline dunker doing some front flips and gets leg caught in rim.
   

I have watched this video numerous times and find it hilarious everytime. Check it.

American businessman was at a pier in a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellow-fin tuna. The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them.

The Mexican replied only a little while.

The American then asked why didn’t he stay out longer and catch more fish?

The Mexican said he had enough to support his family’s immediate needs. The American then asked the Mexican how he spent the rest of his time.

The Mexican fisherman said, “I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siesta with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine and play guitar with my amigos. I have a full and busy life, senor.”

The American scoffed, “I am a Harvard MBA and could help you. You should spend more time fishing and, with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat. With the proceeds from the bigger boat, you could buy several boats, eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to the processor, eventually opening your own cannery. You would control the product, processing and distribution.

“You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA and eventually NYC where you will run your expanding enterprise.”

The Mexican fisherman asked, “But senor, how long will this all take?”

The American replied, “15-20 years.”

“But what then, senor?” asked the Mexican.

The American laughed, and said, “That’s the best part! When the time is right, you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public. You’ll become very rich, you would make millions!”

“Millions, senor?” replied the Mexican. “Then what?”

The American said, “Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos.”

I came across this video several months ago and thought it was very interesting. It is amazing to me how many songs there are that have the same sound and chord progression. Rob Paravonian seems like a pretty cool guy. I hope you enjoy the video.

A few weeks ago I got to hang out with a very good friend of mine and during that time I had him show me this cool camera trick. He set my camera up so the shutter would stay open for a certain amount of time then we goofed off with some light sources. Apparently, when the shutter opens the camera absorbs the light which creates the picture. A typical picture can open the shutter for approximately 1/60th of a second. Some shutter speeds can be as fast as 1/500th of a second. Now that is pretty fast! We opened the shutter for 15 seconds and the images we created turned out pretty cool. Enjoy!
